First Impressions of Kusadasi, Turkey

After a long weekend in Izmir and five days exploring the cute seaside towns of Ilica, Cesme and Alacati on Cesme peninsula, my next destination was Kusadasi, which is located on the Aegean coast 80 km south of Izmir. I had absolutely no prior expectations of Kusadasi, but I had heard and read that Kusadasi is a popular package holiday destination. Yikes, I was not excited at all. I am not a package tour type of traveller. I rather avoid all places which are taken over by mass tourism. Picture-perfect Postcards from Turkey
