Rhodes in Blue and White

When you think about Greece, what is the scenery that you picture in your mind? I always picture Greece with whitewashed houses with blue doors and blue windows by the shimmering Mediterranean Sea. Or narrow lanes dotted with small traditional Greek tavernas with blue chairs and tables.Rhodes_chairs_blueIt is not surprising that blue and white are the national colours of Greece and also colours of the Greek flag, which I am sure everyone recognises. Blue standing for the sea and symbolising limitless opportunities. And white representing waves of the Mediterranean Sea.Rhodes_blue_doorI absolutely love the combination of blue and white. Especially in Greece. However, there is also another reason why these colours are very close to my heart. The reason being the fact that blue and white are also the national colours of my home country, Finland.Rhodes_blue_whiteOn my travels on the island of Rhodes in Greece I came across with lots of beautiful places, buildings and items painted in blue and white, and somehow just could not resist taking lots of photos. So, I am excited to share some of those photos with you. Hope you enjoy the blue and white!Rhodes_door_blueRhodes_window_blueRhodes_bowls_blueRhodes_koskinou_blueRhodes_door_blueRhodes_windows_blueRhodes_windows_blueRhodes_floor_blueRhodes_balcony_blueRhodes_flowerpot_blueRhodes_blue_whiteRhodes_door_blueRhodes_blue_whiteRhodes_door_windows_blueRhodes_door_blue
